Panasonic Microwave oven considerations
Can i use aluminium cake pan on a combination microwave (oven is Panasonic GD576M and has no Covection button?
Panasonic GD576M Oven 1000W capacity (1300W Grill) - facility to Microwave, Grill, Combination cooking. Can use metal cake pan if used in combination mode? Can anyone please explain how preheating is done if I use combi mode - to bake cake?how much time would be required for baking?
Have you looked for the manual that came with the oven? A quick check on the web produced the following:
- Wire Rack
a. A Wire Rack is included with the oven in order to
facilitate browning of small dishes.
b. Wire Rack should be cleaned regularly.
c. When using Wire Rack in the manual GRILL or
COMBINATION cooking modes, be careful to choose
heat-proof containers; containers made of plastic or
paper may melt or burn when exposed to the heat
radiating from the grill.
d. When using the COMBINATION mode, never place any
aluminum or metal container directly on Wire Rack.
Always insert a glass plate or dish between Wire Rack
and the aluminum container. This will prevent sparking
that may damage the oven.
e. It is not recommended to use Wire Rack when cooking
in the MICROWAVE mode only.
From the above I deduce it must be OK to use aluminum in a combination oven.
