what year did microwave popcorn come out?
I remember when my mum got a air popper and was so excited. It tasted so awful, no oil, no butter...yuck Real popcorn is hands down the best, but I occasionally will get micro kettle corn. How do you like your popcorn?
I was in high school in the late '70s, and one of my friends' families had a microwave then (it was the newest thing). I distinctly remember her making popcorn in it in 1976. Granted, she put the dry kernels in a brown paper bag and put that in the oven rather than a commercial pre-bagged product, but it was definitely microwave popcorn.
